Fun things about me
When I’m not writing or journaling, you’ll find me lounging with a Christian suspense novel, listening to an audio book while I'm multitasking. I am especially fond of little fur-babies such as guinea pigs, especially long-haired Peruvian.
My personal mission statement
Through bold storytelling and emotionally rich characters, I aim to deliver redemptive fiction that entertains, uplifts, and gently reflects Christ’s transforming love.
What I love...
I love quiet mornings, rainstorms and family. I have two married sons and one grandson, who hasn’t just stolen my heart—he’s run off with my soul, my patience, and the middle of my Oreo cookie. Add in a crew of great-nieces and nephews who keep me running (more like exhausted), and you’ve got the secret to why I stay young

Add in a crew of great-nieces and nephews who keep me running (more like exhausted), and you’ve got the secret to why I stay young at heart… or at least that’s what I tell myself!!
I love trying new foods—as long as I can identify the meat source. Mystery meat? Hard pass. But fruits and vegetables? I’m all in… unless it’s durian. I try not to get within ten feet of that one. Pretty sure it’s banned from airplanes for a reason, and that reason is the smell. If your fruit needs a hazmat warning, I’m good, thanks.
I love a room that’s clean enough to breathe in and the absence of a large pile of laundry. Do I have it?
Absolutely NOT!
I just love knowing that I can dream, and write about it!
I have a deep appreciation for nature, simplicity, and the quiet presence of God in everyday life.
MOST IMPORTANTLY....
I LOVE my quiet time and journaling with the Lord ... and this my friend... is where you'll find all my secrets.

Somewhere in the Woods is more than a Christian suspense story — it’s about redemption, second chances, and learning to trust again. It blends crime, trauma, faith and a little romance in a way that feels real and personal. At its core, it’s a story about forgiveness and God’s perfect timing — how grace can reach even the hardest places. The message isn’t forced or preachy; it simply grows through the characters’ struggles and healing.
FBI Agent Brad Kessler, still haunted by his wife’s murder, is stunned to learn her killer, Nicolás García, has escaped in a violent prison break. Barred from the case, Brad is assigned to track one of the rookie fugitives—but the deeper he digs, the more he realizes it’s tied to the Kenya case he’s long neglected, buried beneath years of resentment and a thirst for revenge toward García.
Violet Carrington is still facing the loss of her missionary parents in Kenya, a broken marriage, and a miscarriage that left her faith shaken. When a stranger steals from her boutique, compassion overrides caution, drawing her into a story far bigger than her own grief.
Escaped prisoner, Ray Eaves may be the one link that ties them all together.
As danger closes in, all three must confront the past and rediscover faith in the face of fear—because sometimes the miracle doesn’t come after the storm, but within it, leading them to the very place they once feared most…the place God intended all along.

~redemption begins~
In the quiet after chaos, God's presence whispers through the unknown. Even in the darkest places, His light pursues the lost - and what begins in fear may end in forgiveness.

~grace can be found in the unlikeliest souls~
As Brad follows a trail of questions and warnings, he discovers that mercy often hides behind masks of pain. Sometimes the hardest hearts are the ones God is already softening.

~the darker the shadows~
Truth has a way of exposing more than guilt - it reveals the need for healing. And when faith steps into darkness, redemption is never far behind.

Her love for missions has taken her across Asia, Africa, South America, and Europe—experiences that continue to shape her heart and storytelling.
Beverly wrote Journey to the Bolivian Jungle, a novella for young adult Bible studies inspired by her time in Bolivia.
Her latest work, Somewhere in the Woods, is a Christian romantic suspense novel woven from real experiences of grief, loss, and healing—a story of redemption and faith reminding readers that even in the darkest moments, God’s hand is still at work. She is currently writing the sequel, Out of the Shadows, continuing the journey of grace, forgiveness, and second chances. Alongside her novels, she is developing a companion Bible study for Somewhere in the Woods—a series of lessons designed to guide readers and groups in exploring themes of faith, trust, and learning to rely on God in all things.
Beverly writes with purpose: to offer more than entertainment. Her stories aim to stir the heart, reflect authentic faith, and leave readers with hope, grace, and meaning. Now entering a new season of creativity, she is preparing to write full-time—continuing to craft stories rooted in truth, carried by faith, and always centered on Christ’s redemptive love.
Why I chose to start writing?
I’ve always enjoyed reading, to be drawn into a story so deeply that I can feel the scene, breathe in the setting, and step inside the author’s mind. But as much as I loved Christian fiction, I found myself wanting more. Many books I read included a few Bible verses, maybe a prayer or two, but they often stopped short of the kind of story that lingers in your heart.
I longed for a book that offered mystery, suspense, a touch of humor, romance, and an authentic reflection of faith—something that revealed Christ naturally, not forcefully. When I couldn’t find that combination, I decided to write it myself.
And now, through every chapter I write, I have what I always wanted: a story that entertains, challenges, and ultimately points back to the One who writes our own stories best.
I write from the truth of lived experience and faith, trusting the God who gave me these words will also carry them where they’re meant to go. Every sentence is shaped by grace, and every story I tell finds its ending in Him.
My Writer's Prayer:
Lord, as I write, help me tell the truth—the same truth that has carried me through storms I never saw coming. When the words fall short, let Your grace fill the silence and remind me why I write at all.
Let my words flow from joy—not the easy kind, but the kind that runs deep and steady, born out of Your mercy in the middle of pain. And when emotion breaks through, let it be because You’re drawing me closer—to You, and to the stories You’ve placed in my heart to tell.
I don’t write for recognition or applause. I write to share truth—the kind that reveals Your presence in both suffering and redemption. My greatest hope is that somewhere, someone might see You in the words and come to know You as Savior.
Writing, for me, is more than expression—it’s an act of faith. It’s offering something real, something that points back to Christ, trusting that every story, every line, and every quiet moment will somehow lead back to You.

Something is wrong deep in the Bolivian jungle at the Buenas Nuevas (Good News) Mission.
Built years ago by Mr. G’s parents—who died in a mysterious plane crash that left him paralyzed—the once-thriving mission is now shrouded in secrecy and danger. When his adopted children, **Marla, Juan, and Ben—The Noble Trio—**return to uncover the truth, nothing goes as planned.
Cut off from the outside world, their pilot vanishes, their guide abandons them, and they’re forced to seek refuge in a dark mountain cavern—unaware that their treacherous chaperone is stalking them, waiting to strike.
An evil, power-hungry tribesman has seized the mission after discovering valuable minerals beneath its soil. Under his rule, Buenas Nuevas has become a kingdom of fear where children are kidnapped and enslaved.
Determined to set them free, the Noble Trio must rely not on strength or skill but on their faith—in one another and in God—as they face venomous jungles, ruthless enemies, and the unseen battle between darkness and light.
The Noble Trio: Journey to the Bolivian Jungle is my first novella in a faith-filled adventure that follows three courageous teens as they travel to third-world mission fields in service to God. Along the way, they learn powerful lessons about courage, calling, and the importance of placing total trust in God—lessons that will challenge and inspire readers of all ages in their own walk of faith.
Inspired by real missionary experiences in the Bolivian jungle, this fictional story weaves authentic mission-field detail with page-turning suspense and spiritual depth. Many of the photos included are actual images from missions in Bolivia.
